Tenrai is a young half elf Bard with a whimsical streak to her. She love hearing new stories and learning of different customs from different cultures. At the beginning of our story we see her fail at keeping Idlewild's interest, but she gains Shenna's friendship. The two travel and train together, and seem to compliment each other nicely. Tenrai's shy conservative nature balances Shenna's blunt behavior.

Bodigar is a proud Paladin who happens to be quite the gentleman. We first meet him to find that he is deeply in love with Tenrai. However, as Tenrai wishes to travel in hopes of "clearing her head" he turns out to be quite the patient young fellow. His patients are well rewarded as he and Tenrai eventually get married. We learn that he is the older brother of the fun-loving Rogue Nessar, which probably explains the root of his patients.

Nessar is a trouble-causing Rogue of Bristlebane. Her older brother Bodigar is her exact opposite (almost). Nessar enjoys charming people, picking pockets, and shirking her responsibilities. However, if it came down to a fight, Nessar would rather stay and fight and only runs away when she must. She can't stand bias or snobbery, and is out-spoken (and young) enough to tell others what she thinks of them.

Rygel is an experienced Half elf Rogue of Bristlebane. He loves good fun, and all forms of merriment. He detests those who take advantage of the weak; especially women and children. When we first meet him he is seen defending Bijo from another (less experienced) Rogue. He defends her, then does all he can to see to her safety without directly interfering. He bodily stands against allegations from his guild master in reference to his presence around the Cleric, and proclaims that "Just because I'm a Rogue, doesn't mean I have to be a villain." However, once he explains all that happened to his Guild Master she understands and drops all the charges the guild brought against him.

Polynesia is a half elf Ranger and Sineriena's big sister. The two are rarely ever seen together though. They are born from the union between a human male and a High elf female. When Poly came of age she quickly decided to become a Ranger. The entire family moved from Freeport to the Karanas so that she could study in the Surefall Glade. The move did not sit well with young Sineriena and caused a rift between the two sisters. Sineriena never had the troubles Polynesia experienced with making friends, and thus had to leave many behind. Whereas Polynesia--who was a self-made outcast--had nothing to truly give up by moving. Sineriena sees Polynesia as selfish for making them move, and Polynesia thinks Sineriena is a spoiled baby for complaining about it so much. Polynesia now only cares to become the best Ranger she can possibly become.

Rulidien is a young half elf Druid who has proven his character by staying friend with Polynesia. The two met in Surefall when Polynesia had come of age. Rulidien liked the antisocial Ranger and hug around (even when she didn't want him to). Eventually, Polynesia began to enjoy his company. He enjoys chasing the storm clouds that constantly gather around Poly away. Only recently have his thoughts turned from pure friendship to more romantic in nature. He doesn't want to jeopardize their friendship, so he's kept his feelings secret.

Sineriena is a half elf Bard, and, though she loathes it, the little sister of Polynesia. Sineriena was completely content to remain in Freeport and when she came of age become a Bard. Polynesia came of age before her and decided to take up a class that would move the whole family to the other side of the continent. Sineriena was never given the choice and has come to resent her sister. As she has now mastered her class, Sineriena travels all over Norrath and Luclin, performing for her keep. She writes letters to her mother--and only to her mother--to keep her family from worrying. She has not been near to the Qeynos hills or Karanas and doesn't intend to go back. She does often wonder what became of her friends in Freeport.
